Phytotherapy and One Health
Sao Paulo/SP
May 20-23, 2025
São Paulo
São Paulo, founded in 1554, is home to almost 12 million people. The economic hub of Brazil, it grew from Páteo do Colégio, on the Serra do Mar Plateau, surrounded by the Atlantic Forest. Today, the original green cover has been restored in the many parks and green areas that the city offers, as well as streets lined with native trees.
São Paulo offers many attractions to its visitors. There is a vast array of commerce spread across shopping centers, themed streets/areas such as 25 de Março, Santa Ifigênia, José Paulino, Brás, and the Municipal Market. Several museums can be visited, such as MASP, Museu da Casa Brasileira, Museu da Língua Portuguesa, Pinacoteca or Museu da Imigração. A walk through the city's historic district provides an architectural journey into the past, through various buildings such as the Theatro Mvnicipal, Edifício Martinelli, Farol Santander, Catedral da Sé, Edifício Copan, Edifício Itália, Estação da Luz, among others.
If you're interested in gastronomy, its bars and restaurants offer typical regional and international food. São Paulo has been elected the World Capital of Gastronomy several times, the most recent being in 2021, due to the representativeness and quality of the services offered.
In addition to the convenience of being the intersection of Brazil's main highways and being served by three nearby international airports, the city's vast public, private and app-based transportation network makes it easy to get from where you arrive in the city to where you're staying. In the city, a network of inns and hotels provides tourists with the comfort of being close to their place of work or tourism.
Enjoy your visit to the Brazilian Pharmacognosy Symposium and be amazed by what São Paulo has to offer!
